Santa Fe 2010MY Facelift Launch - 4th January 2010
We are pleased to announce the pricing and specification of the Santa Fe 2010MY facelift which will be officially launched on 4th January 2010.
Design
The Santa Fe has received a detailed design makeover to the exterior, including redesigned grille, alloy wheels, bumpers and lamp clusters, while the new carbon black dashboard and door trims bring an extra touch of class to the luxurious interior.
Engine and Transmissions
More significantly, the Santa Fe now has truly class-leading power, torque, CO2 and fuel economy thanks to the all new 2.2 CRDi diesel engine and the latest six speed manual and automatic transmissions, which are available across the range.
Highlights include;
- A maximum output of 194bhp and peak torque of 436Nm (up 26% and 27% respectively on current range)
- CO2 emissions starting from just 176g/km (down 15g/km from current range)
- Combined fuel consumption of 41.5mpg for all manual derivatives (7% improvement on current range)
- Maximum tow weight of 2,500kg (14% improvement on current range)
This combination is class-leading and no other competitor in the segment can boast such an impressive range of figures.
Pricing and Specification
Not only is the new Santa Fe more stylish, more efficient and powerful, we have repositioned the range to make it better value for money against its key competitors.
Available in two trim levels, Style and Premium, the generously equipped entry level Style 5-seat with 2.2 CRDi manual starts at just £21,495 OTR (at 17.5% VAT), which is cheaper than the outgoing and less well-equipped GSI model. The repositioning also means that the entry level Santa Fe is now over £1,300 cheaper than smaller and less powerful entry level diesel RAV4.
The luxuriously equipped Premium trim starts at just £23,245 (extra £1,750 over Style), again lower priced and better value for money than the outgoing CDX model.
The 7-seat option is available for an extra £750 and automatic transmission for £1,500 for both Style and Premium.
Running Costs
Added to the improvements in value, the all new 2.2 CRDi gives impressive reduction in ownership costs due to longer service intervals (1 year/20,000 miles), lower CO2 emissions and improved fuel consumption.
The key benefits to the customers are;
- A massive 54% or over £800 reduction in basic service cost over 3 year/60,000 miles
- Lower VED band (now Band I for manual, J for auto)
- Company Car Tax reduced from 29% to 26%, saving a company car driver nearly £900 over 3 years (based on 40% tax)
- 7% improvement in fuel consumption for manual and 12% for auto
With this impressive reduction in overall running costs, the Santa Fe is now a genuine alternative to a family saloon, MPV or even C-segment SUVs such as RAV4, with the added bonus of style, power, 4WD safety and versatility.
Availability
The new range officially goes on sale on 4th January 2010, but will be available to order from 3rd December 2009*.
